Overview
- Enrico Cardile officially began work at Aston Martin’s AMR Technology Campus on August 4 following a mediated settlement with Ferrari over a non-compete clause.
- The Court of Modena had upheld Ferrari’s request in April to block his involvement until his gardening leave expired after finding he breached non-compete terms.
- As chief technical officer, he will oversee the architecture, design and structure of Aston Martin’s F1 cars while partnering with managing technical partner Adrian Newey.
- The appointment follows the departure of technical director Dan Fallows and forms part of team principal Andy Cowell’s broader reorganization of the engineering hierarchy.
- Aston Martin intends to leverage the combined expertise of Cardile and Newey to accelerate its development for the new power unit and aerodynamic regulations due in 2026.
