Overview

• Shelley Davies, 38, died on October 18 at the University Hospital of Wales from injuries sustained in a September 27 incident outside the 4th Glamorgan Homeguard Club on Heol Trelai.
• South Wales Police re-arrested Kian Bateman, 18, of Caerau, and charged him with the murder of Shelley Davies.
• The defendant is also charged with causing grievous bodily harm in relation to a second injured person.
• Officers said a car struck several pedestrians, and a large cordon from Caerau Lane to Church Road was established as crime scene investigators examined the area.
• Detective Inspector Mike Healy offered condolences and said Davies’ family are being updated and supported as the investigation continues.
