Overview

• South Wales Police launched a murder investigation after a woman in her 30s was found seriously injured and pronounced dead at South Morgan Place, Riverside, at 7:37am on August 21.
• Officers arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of murder shortly after on Seawall Road, and the force says it is not seeking anyone else.
• Detectives are asking residents and drivers to review CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from 7:30–8:30am covering South Morgan Place and Seawall Road.
• The appeal extends to movements on Wellington Street, Clare Road, Penarth Road and East Tyndall Street, with investigators highlighting interest in any sightings of a grey Ford Fiesta.
• Cordons and an increased police presence remain in place in the Riverside area, and a dedicated team continues to gather evidence and witness accounts.
