Overview
- Delhi’s overall AQI hovered around 359–370 on Saturday with multiple hotspots in the severe band above 400, including Anand Vihar and Bawana, while Noida locations touched 434, according to CPCB data.
- Under the revised plan, several Stage II actions now start at Stage I, including uninterrupted power to curb diesel generators, traffic synchronisation, public pollution alerts, and added CNG/electric buses and metro frequency with off‑peak fare incentives.
- Staggered timings for public and municipal offices in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar have been advanced from Stage III to Stage II, with the Centre able to apply similar steps for its offices.
- Certain Stage IV measures now apply at Stage III, allowing NCR and Delhi authorities to run public, municipal and private offices at 50% staff with the rest working from home, with the Centre empowered to permit WFH for its employees.
