'Captain America: Brave New World' Hires New Writer for Reshoots

The Marvel sequel, starring Anthony Mackie, is set for additional filming in 2024 ahead of its delayed 2025 release.

Marvel Studios' 'Captain America: Brave New World' has hired Matthew Orton to write additional scenes and material for reshoots planned for spring-summer 2024.
The reshoots are part of Marvel's standard quality control process, and do not necessarily indicate problems with the film.
The film, originally titled 'Captain America: New World Order', has been delayed to February 14, 2025 due to the actors' strike.
Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson, who took over as Captain America from Chris Evans' Steve Rogers.
The cast also includes Harrison Ford as Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, and Shira Haas as Sabra.
