Capitol Rioter ‘QAnon Shaman’ Released After Serving Time

Jacob Chansley, known as the 'QAnon Shaman,' was released from a halfway house after serving time for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
Chansley pleaded guilty to a felony charge of obstruction of an official proceeding and was sentenced to 41 months in prison.
Chansley gained attention for the distinctive face paint and headdress he wore during the riot.
Chansley's attorney said he took advantage of opportunities to reduce his time and called him an 'intelligent, peaceful' man with a 'bright future.'
Chansley's release came the same day the leader of the Oath Keepers was sentenced to 18 years for plotting to overturn the 2020 election results.
