Capcom to Continue Remaking Older Resident Evil Games

Capcom has confirmed plans to continue releasing remakes of older Resident Evil games, following the success of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 remakes.
Resident Evil 4 Remake director Yasuhiro Anpo stated that the positive reception to the remakes was a driving factor, along with bringing the series to new players.
Anpo did not reveal which game will be remade next, stating that this would be announced in the future.
Speculation suggests that Resident Evil 5 could be the next game to be remade, although fans also hope for a remake of PS2 title Code: Veronica X.
Capcom takes customer feedback seriously when deciding which games to remake, according to Resident Evil 4 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi.
