Overview
- Capcom will release the free Prologue demo for Nintendo Switch 2 on Monday, Oct. 19 in North America and on Oct. 20 in Europe.
- The demo is a free download that lets players carry their save data over into the full Monster Hunter Wilds when it launches on December 4, 2026.
- Demo multiplayer is limited to local play so friends can team up on the same network or console but online multiplayer is not available in the trial.
- Digital pre‑orders for the full game open the same day the demo goes live, and Capcom has confirmed cross‑platform play, a physical Game‑Key Card, and a Switch 2 bundle in Japan.
- Capcom plans ongoing support after launch with the major Ascendance expansion slated for 2027 to add high‑end encounters and new mechanics.
