Capcom Introduces 9★ Tempered Monsters to Monster Hunter Wilds in August Update

Due August 13, Ver. 1.021 introduces nine 9★ Tempered monsters at Hunter Rank 100, a randomized talisman appraisal system, weapon balance tweaks, PC crash fixes in preparation for deeper CPU/GPU optimizations.

New Monster Hunter Wilds update causes fresh crash problems, Capcom confirms

Overview

  • Ver. 1.021 adds nine 9★ Tempered monsters for Hunter Rank 100 players, featuring versions of Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, Jin Dahaad, Gore Magala, Arkveld, Mizutsune, Lagiacrus and Seregios.
  • The patch introduces a randomized talisman reward system that lets players appraise Glowing Stones into talismans with random weapon and armor skills plus decoration slots.
  • Broad weapon and system balance adjustments span all weapon types and include a new Dual Blades turning-tidedrill finisher, longer meal effects and improved underwater item use.
  • Capcom has bundled additional PC bug and crash fixes and has committed to further CPU and GPU optimizations in Title Update 3 in September and a winter 2025 update.
  • The accelerated roadmap shifts endgame expansions from September to August to re-engage veteran players and respond to Steam review criticism without delaying deeper performance fixes.
