Capcom and KFC Japan Launch Monster Hunter Wilds Meal Sets With Exclusive In-Game Items

The tie-in follows a steep quarterly sales drop for the game.

Overview

  • The collaboration runs in Japan from November 19 to December 16, with KFC Online orders beginning November 13.
  • Two sets are offered: the Feast Set grants a Luxury Ingredient Set and a Colonel Sanders Felyne charm, while the Spice Up Set includes a Hunting Item Set and a KFC Barrel Felyne charm.
  • Special packaging features the Felyne dressed as Colonel Sanders, and upgrading to a large meal adds an extra piece of chicken and a sticker sheet.
  • Four stores in Tokyo and Osaka will be decorated with life-sized panels, and in-store music will switch to Monster Hunter Wilds tracks from November 19–30.
  • KFC Online customers enter a lottery for 20 hoodies and 200 travel card holders, as Capcom reports the game sold 160,000 units last quarter versus 477,000 previously and points to PS5 pricing pressure in Japan.
