Cannes Critics’ Week 2025 Lineup Revealed, Highlighting Emerging Global Talent

The 64th edition will open with Laura Wandel’s 'Adam’s Interest' and close with Momoko Seto’s animated feature 'Dandelion’s Odyssey.'

The 2025 Cannes Critics’ Week lineup features 11 debut and sophomore films selected from over 1,000 global submissions, emphasizing international diversity and innovative storytelling.
Laura Wandel’s child custody drama 'Adam’s Interest' is set to open the event, while Momoko Seto’s animated 'Dandelion’s Odyssey' will serve as the closing film.
Sean Baker, a Palme d’Or and Oscar-winning filmmaker, plays a key role as producer and co-editor in Shih-Ching Tsou’s Taiwanese entry 'Left-Handed Girl,' which is part of the competition lineup.
The jury, led by Spanish filmmaker Rodrigo Sorogoyen and joined by Oscar-winning actor Daniel Kaluuya, will oversee awards for the competitive section running from May 14 to 22, 2025.
The lineup spans genres, including surrealist narratives like Thailand’s 'A Useful Ghost,' European dramas like 'Imago' and 'Kika,' and a mix of out-of-competition special screenings.
