Canet d'en Berenguer Launches Annual Youth Forum to Review Local Plan

More than 50 residents aged 12–30 used the inaugural session to set priorities on bullying prevention, mental health, housing access, discrimination and youth space expansion.

Overview

  • Held on September 27, the first Fórum Jove gathered over 50 young people and will convene each year to guide municipal youth policy.
  • Participants are tasked with evaluating how much of the I Plan de Juventud has been executed and with proposing updates to it.
  • Youth priorities included stronger action against bullying and cyberbullying, improved mental health support, prevention of discrimination and gender inequality, and measures against alcohol abuse.
  • Calls for emancipation support centered on easier access to housing, more vocational and employment guidance, coworking or business incubators, and a larger Espai Jove.
  • Proposals were displayed as posters at the Espai Jove for public visibility, complementing input from the Local Council for Childhood and Adolescence that began meeting in February.
