Overview

• The Puente Vehicular Nichupté has reached 85% completion with the metallic span about 90% structurally finished and awaiting deck slabs and paving.
• Temporary structures in the mangrove zone are being dismantled this month following a Top Down method designed to protect sensitive habitats.
• Three prefabrication plants are operating at full capacity to produce the bridge’s remaining segments and slabs for assembly.
• Officials plan to complete pier supports in September, begin beam installation in October and carry out final finishing works from November through December 2025.
• The project has created 51,000 jobs and is expected to benefit around 1.3 million residents by reducing traffic congestion in Cancún.
