Cancún Mayor Highlights Education and Social Support Gains in First-Year Report

Quantified deliveries across education, nutrition, elder care form the administration's official year-one results.

  • The “Pasos para la Transformación” program delivered 119,000 pairs of school shoes to students in more than 429 public schools.
  • The city awarded 3,834 “Calidad Educativa e Impulso al Desarrollo Humano” scholarships for the 2024–2025 cycle, including students from Centros de Atención Múltiple (CAM).
  • Municipal data report 2,661,500 cold and hot breakfast rations served to 17,333 preschool and primary students in priority areas.
  • Education infrastructure works included 14 light domes and two domes over multiuse courts, with a perimeter wall for CBTIS 272 and two arcotecho modules planned, as outlined in the First Informe.
  • Through DIF Benito Juárez, 28 workshops benefited 216 older adults, and community centers provided 13,979 services, 24,159 meals and 945 activities to 344 people, according to the report.
