Cancer survivors Liam Hendriks, Carlos Carrasco host pediatric patients, share stories of perseverance

Liam Hendriks and Carlos Carrasco, both cancer survivors, hosted pediatric patients at Citi Field as part of Carrasco's "Cookie's Kids" program.
The children received a special tour of the ballpark and heard inspirational stories from Hendriks and Carrasco about overcoming cancer.
Hendriks recently won the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at the ESPYs after returning from treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Carrasco beat chronic myelogenous leukemia in 2019 and started the "Cookie's Kids" program to support pediatric cancer patients.
The kids received lunch, gifts, tickets to a future Mets game, and words of encouragement from the two pitchers.
