Canadian Man Arrested for Massive Snowflake Data Breaches

Alexander 'Connor' Moucka, known by hacker aliases Waifu and Judische, was arrested in Canada on October 30, 2024.
The hacks targeted customers of Snowflake, compromising data from major corporations like AT&T, Ticketmaster, and Santander.
Moucka allegedly used stolen credentials from infostealer malware to access Snowflake accounts lacking multi-factor authentication.
The breaches resulted in the theft of millions of personal records, with AT&T reportedly paying a ransom to have data deleted.
Snowflake has since updated its security protocols to require multi-factor authentication by default for all accounts.
