Canadian Man Arrested at Delhi Airport for Smuggling Baby Crocodile Skull

The skull, weighing 777 grams, was identified as belonging to a species protected under India's Wildlife Protection Act, which prohibits the possession of such items without proper authorization.
The man, en route to Canada, reportedly purchased the skull in Thailand and lacked the mandatory permissions required to transport wildlife items.
The skull was seized and handed over to India's Department of Forests and Wildlife for further examination to confirm the exact subspecies.
India's Wildlife Protection Act, which bans hunting and possession of protected species, carries penalties of up to seven years in prison for violations.
