Canada Super 60 Launches Indoor T10 at BC Place on Oct. 8

Sanctioned by Cricket Canada, the festival-style tournament uses a drop-in wicket to stage fast matches that spotlight domestic players with international stars.

Overview

  • The week-long event runs Oct. 8–13 under the BC Place roof, with only the lower bowl open for the inaugural year.
  • The Super 60 format features 10 overs per side in matches of about 90 minutes, positioning the league as a rapid, spectator-friendly product.
  • Six men’s teams and two women’s teams will compete, with both competitions starting together in Vancouver.
  • International names including Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Shoaib Malik, Shakib Al Hasan, Jason Roy, Quinton de Kock and Alex Hales join leading Canadian players.
  • A temporary hybrid wicket installed by Australia-based Gabba Sporting Products is in place, broadcasts include Willow TV and Fancode, and organizers plan daily concerts and future annual editions.
