Overview

  • The pass is active from December 12, 2025 to January 15, 2026, offering nationwide deals at Parks Canada sites, national museums and participating provincial or territorial galleries, plus VIA Rail fare reductions.
  • Parks Canada provides free admission for everyone during the window and a 25% cut to winter camping and overnight fees at open locations.
  • National museums offer free entry for children 17 and under and 50% off for ages 18–24, with local lineups highlighted in coverage such as Toronto’s ROM and AGO and numerous sites in Ottawa–Gatineau and B.C.
  • VIA Rail travel is free for children 17 and under traveling with an adult and 25% off for ages 18–24, bookable with codes CANADAFAM and CANADA1824 on eligible fares with ID required.
  • No physical pass is required, but some fees and third‑party charges still apply, some sites operate on reduced winter hours, and refund processes exist for qualifying prior Parks Canada and VIA Rail bookings.
