Canada Strong Pass Launches With Free Access to Parks and Museums

Through free park and museum admission with steep service discounts, the program seeks to redirect travellers to Canadian destinations during a downturn in US visits.

Overview

  • The Canada Strong Pass went live on June 20 and runs through September 2, granting free entry to national parks, historic sites and marine conservation areas administered by Parks Canada.
  • Children aged 17 and under receive free admission at national museums and the Plains of Abraham Museum while young adults aged 18 to 24 enjoy a 50% discount on museum entry.
  • Campers at Parks Canada sites benefit from a 25% discount on camping fees.
  • Via Rail offers free travel for children under 17 when accompanied by an adult and a 25% discount for passengers aged 18 to 24.
  • No registration or physical pass is required and all visitors qualify; existing Parks Canada Discovery Passes valid for June through August 2025 will be automatically extended by three months.
