• Canada Soccer confirmed the senior men’s team will face No. 26-ranked Australia at Stade Saputo, marking its first match in Montreal since 2017.
• The fixture is the third of four autumn friendlies against FIFA top-50 opponents, following games versus Romania on Sept. 5 and Wales on Sept. 9 and preceding Colombia on Oct. 14.
• Head coach Jesse Marsch said the match will deepen ties between the People’s Team and Canadian communities as World Cup preparations intensify.
