Canada Goose Sees Sales Surge in Asia Amid Slump in North America and Europe

Canada Goose Holdings Inc. reported a 62% year-over-year sales jump in Asia for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2023, driven by increased tourism from mainland China and the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions.
Despite the surge in Asia, the company saw a nearly 14% drop in sales in North America and Europe due to warmer weather and weaker consumer demand caused by high inflation and interest rates.
The company's total revenue for the quarter was $609.9 million, a 6% increase from the same period a year earlier.
Canada Goose's net income attributable to shareholders for the third quarter was $130.6 million, slightly down from $134.9 million a year earlier.
For its full 2024 financial year, the company forecasts total revenue of $1.28 billion to $1.31 billion, with adjusted net income per diluted share likely to be between 82 cents and 92 cents.
