• Campofrío announced a €134 million investment to build a new meat processing factory in Utiel, Valencia, replacing its Torrent facility disabled by the October flood.
• The new plant is designed to boost installed capacity and agility in meeting demand for processed meats across Spain and Europe.
• More than 300 workers from the flooded Torrent site will be transferred to the Utiel factory, preserving local employment.
• The facility will include solar panels and biogas production from waste to reduce environmental impact.
• This project is part of Campofrío’s wider €157 million global industrial plan, which also allocates €23 million to expand production lines in Burgos.
