• The campervan got stuck twice on Traeth y Greigddu near Porthmadog and was eventually swept out to sea by the incoming tide.
• Rescuers—including around six jet skiers—tried to free the vehicle using personal watercraft, a pick-up truck and a 4x4 Land Rover Defender.
• Phil Butler and other eyewitnesses confirmed multiple rescue efforts despite social media claims that no one tried to help.
• More than 100 riders from North Wales and beyond took part in the Colwyn PWC Riders fundraiser when the incident occurred.
• The event raised £25,163.97 for charities such as the RNLI, Mountain Rescue, Macca’s Project and Elsie’s Story.
