Campbellsville University Student Arrested for Murder of Fellow Student

The university community mourns the loss of 18-year-old Josiah Malachi Kilman, found dead in his dorm room, as former teammate Charles E. Escalera is taken into custody.

Charles E. Escalera, 21, was arrested in connection to the death of 18-year-old Josiah Malachi Kilman at Campbellsville University in Kentucky.
Kilman was found unresponsive in his dorm room early Saturday and later pronounced dead; the cause of death has not been publicly announced.
Escalera, a former teammate of Kilman on the university's wrestling team, was captured in a barn in rural central Kentucky after a manhunt.
A GoFundMe campaign set up for Kilman's family exceeded its $50,000 goal to cover funeral and other expenses.
Campbellsville University, a private Christian university, held a service of hope and healing and resumed campus activities.
