- More than 17,000 visitors attended the 66th Bon Odori Festival at Camp Zama on August 2.
- The event was co-hosted by U.S. Army Garrison Japan and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
- Col. Erik A. Davis, who arrived at Camp Zama in July, danced on the Bon tower with his wife after four days of practice.
- Masako Kawasaki marked over 25 years as a Bon Odori dance instructor as she hugged Command Sgt. Maj. Marleen J. Watson-Rodriguez after performing.
- On August 8, DVIDS released official photos capturing the evening’s dances, cuisine and fireworks finale.
