Overview
- Camp Snap announced the CS‑8 Mini on Thursday, November 5, and the camera is available now from Camp Snap and Target for $149.99.
- The Mini is a smaller, child-focused version of the CS‑8 designed for ages 6 and up with a reduced grip and simplified controls for small hands.
- The camera has no screen, no Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth, and no app, so each squeeze of the trigger creates a separate MP4 clip that cannot be reviewed or deleted until the device is plugged into a phone or computer.
- Features include four aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3), five film-style filters baked into capture, up to 8x digital zoom, and a reported 1/2.7‑inch sensor limited to 2.7K resolution compared with the original CS‑8’s 4K.
- Camp Snap ships the Mini fully charged with a 4GB microSD card and USB‑C cable that hold about 30 minutes of footage, estimates orders will ship in one to two weeks, warns holiday stock is limited, and offers optional accessories such as a $19.99 case and $4.99 lanyard.
