Caminos del Inca 2025 Opens With LimaHuancayo Stage as Castro Sets Early Pace

  • The 53rd edition began today with Stage 1 from Canta to Huancayo, featuring two timed sections: Canta–La Cima (119 km) and Paccha–Ahuac (99.2 km).
  • Diario Sin Fronteras reports Eduardo Castro and Julio Echazú leading with 1:04:29.4, ahead of Luis Alayza–Gabriel Lozada at 1:06:36.3 and Ronmel Palomino–Guillermo Sierra at 1:06:36.7.
  • The opening start order was led by Lucho Alayza, followed by André Martínez, Ronmel Palomino, Eduardo Castro, and Raúl Orlandini.
  • Stage 1 ran with the first special at 8:00 a.m. and the second at 12:30 p.m., with race-zone road closures from 4:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and national TV coverage on TV Perú.
  • This year’s rally spans five stages, 13 specials, and roughly 2,182.1 km with high-altitude sections near 5,000 meters, and outlets differ slightly on the entry count between 86 and 87 crews.
