Cam Newton, former NFL quarterback and MVP, has signed with ESPN to become a regular commentator on the morning show 'First Take'.
Newton will join hosts Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim, alongside other commentators like Shannon Sharpe and Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo.
His debut is scheduled for October 11 during a live taping at Tennessee State University, part of the show's HBCU roadshow.
ESPN is reshuffling its lineup, adding Newton and others while preparing for a broader push into streaming next year.
Newton is known for his dynamic charisma and is expected to bring the same passion and energy to the show as he did on the field.
