Overview

• Activision confirmed platforms as PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Battle.net, with no Switch 2 version at launch and day-one access on Xbox Game Pass.
• An open multiplayer beta runs October 2–8, with early access for preorders and eligible Game Pass subscribers on October 2 and full open access beginning October 5.
• Multiplayer includes 16 six-versus-six maps at launch (13 new and three Black Ops 2 remasters) plus two 20v20 Skirmish maps, with grapple hooks, boost/super jumps, wall jumps, and wingsuits featured.
• Round-based Zombies returns with the mode’s largest map to date and a new Wonder Vehicle, and Dead Ops Arcade comes back with four-player co-op.
• Set in 2035, the story follows David Mason (played by Milo Ventimiglia) against an enemy that “weaponizes fear,” with Kiernan Shipka as Emma Kagan and Michael Rooker reprising Mike Harper.
