Spotify Retains Exclusive Video Rights as it Shifts Strategy to Maximize Off-Platform Distribution

Alex Cooper's popular podcast 'Call Her Daddy' is now available on all major audio platforms, including Apple Podcasts, iHeartPodcasts, and Amazon Music, after being exclusive to Spotify for two and a half years.
Spotify will continue to have exclusive distribution rights to the video version of 'Call Her Daddy'.
The move comes as Spotify shifts its strategy from exclusive rights to maximizing off-platform distribution and monetization with its slate of audio originals.
'Call Her Daddy' has been the No. 1 most-listened-to podcast among women globally on Spotify and has a huge fanbase thanks to Cooper's no-holds-barred style discussing various topics.
Cooper also launched Trending, a media company aimed at Gen Z audiences, and its subsidiary, the Unwell Network, last year, with Spotify serving as the ads sales and distribution partner for Unwell Network’s shows.
