California Woman Arrested for Replacing U.S. Flag with Mexican Flag at Public Park

Crystal Aguilar was arrested on February 6, 2025, at Hart Park in Bakersfield, California, after allegedly cutting a chain to remove the U.S. flag and replacing it with a Mexican flag.

Aguilar reportedly resisted arrest and made threats against the officers and their families, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
She was charged with vandalism, trespassing, resisting arrest, threatening a peace officer, and possession of marijuana in a park.
Aguilar is being held on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, February 10.
