California Postal Supervisor Arrested for Allegedly Stealing $281,000 from Mail

- Joivian Tjuana Hayes, 36, a U.S. Postal Service supervisor in Costa Mesa, was arrested on December 19 and charged with bank fraud.
- Hayes is accused of stealing over 20 checks totaling $281,000, including one for $114,000, and depositing them into her own bank accounts with forged signatures.
- Surveillance footage reportedly shows Hayes making multiple ATM deposits of stolen checks in Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, and Compton.
- Federal prosecutors allege Hayes also stole $20,000 in cash and Federal Reserve notes, as well as $15,000 in gold coins from the post office.
- Agents executed search warrants on her home and 2023 BMW, with Hayes facing a potential 30-year prison sentence if convicted.
