California Pastor Charged in Murder-for-Hire Plot Against Daughter's Boyfriend

Samuel Pasillas, a pastor in Victorville, California, was arrested for allegedly hiring hitmen to kill his daughter's boyfriend, who survived the shooting.

Pasillas allegedly paid nearly $40,000 to have his daughter's boyfriend shot in Riverside, California.
The victim, shot multiple times while driving, managed to drive himself to a hospital and is recovering.
Juan Manuel Cebreros, one of the alleged hitmen, was also arrested and charged with similar crimes.
The investigation, which began after the October 2023 shooting, uncovered evidence of Pasillas' involvement.
Both Pasillas and Cebreros pleaded not guilty at a joint arraignment and are being held on $1 million bond.
