Overview
- A group of hunters found Ron Dailey on Saturday along the remote Swamp Lake Trail, and deputies and medics soon airlifted him to a hospital in Clovis.
 - Dailey was reported missing on Oct. 13 after failing to return from a planned one-day solo hunting trip near the Shaver Lake and Dinkey Creek area.
 - He said rough terrain disabled his truck, which he used as shelter at roughly 10,000 feet while rationing food for about two weeks before attempting to walk out.
 - Dailey told his family he had not eaten for six days when he was discovered, and the hunters provided him with food and water.
 - Authorities described a large multi-county search effort involving teams and equipment from across the Central Valley, and deputies plan follow-up interviews about his ordeal.
