  • Four Corners high‐pressure heat dome is strengthening and will merge with a Northeast Pacific ridge, driving interior highs of 105–115°F this weekend.
  • Coastal Bay Area and Pacific Coast temperatures will remain in the 60s and 70s under an onshore flow and marine layer despite inland triple‐digit heat.
  • The National Weather Service has issued moderate to major risk warnings for Northern California and Southern Oregon with 10–15°F above-average readings and several days of triple-digit heat near the California–Oregon border.
  • The KCRA 3 weather team has designated Impact Days from Friday through Monday for the Sacramento Valley as afternoon highs surpass 100°F and heat-related health risks grow.
  • Desert Southwest cities including Palm Springs, Needles and El Centro are forecast to tie or break daily temperature records during the peak of the heat wave.
