Overview

  • The awards are expected to spur about $1.1 billion in spending, support roughly 6,500 cast and crew, deliver 46,100 background-performer days, and generate more than 1,100 filming days.
  • Every qualified applicant received a credit in this round, the California Film Commission said.
  • Most productions plan to shoot in greater Los Angeles, with relocations including Tom Segura’s Bad Thoughts from Texas and one series shifting from Vancouver.
  • Notable recipients include Dan Fogelman’s new Hulu drama ($42.8 million), The Studio Season 2 ($13.2 million), Presumed Innocent Season 2 ($20.8 million), S.W.A.T. Exiles ($15.7 million), and a new Larry David series ($9.1 million).
  • The revamped program raised the annual cap to $750 million, lifted the base credit to 35%, and expanded eligibility to half-hour TV shows.
