Cale Makar sets NHL record as Avs defeat Kraken in Seattle's home opener

Cale Makar became the fastest defenseman to reach 250 career points, doing so in just 241 games.
The Colorado Avalanche beat the Seattle Kraken 4-1 in the Kraken's first home game of the season.
Makar, Artturi Lehkonen, Logan O'Connor, Mikko Rantanen and Valeri Nichushkin each scored for the Avalanche.
Kailer Yamamoto tallied the lone goal for the Kraken in the loss.
The win avenged the Avalanche's playoff exit last season at the hands of the Kraken expansion team.
