The CalDigit Element 5 Hub features nine ports, including four Thunderbolt 5 ports, two USB-C ports, and three USB-A ports, supporting up to 80Gb/s data transfer speeds.
Thunderbolt 5's Bandwidth Boost allows up to 120Gb/s for high-resolution displays, enabling dual 8K 60Hz or dual 4K 240Hz displays on compatible Macs and PCs.
Mac users are limited to dual displays due to macOS constraints, while compatible Windows machines can support up to three displays via a single Thunderbolt 5 connection.
The hub delivers 90W of consistent power for host devices and includes a compact 180W power supply, 42% smaller than its predecessor.
Priced at $249.95 with a launch discount, the Element 5 Hub is now available in the U.S., with UK and EU availability expected in mid to late February 2025.
