  • Skipper guided UCLA over the final nine games after an 0–3 start, going 3–6 with October wins over Penn State, Michigan State and Maryland.
  • He previously led Fresno State as acting or interim head coach for the 2023 bowl and the 2024 season, finishing 6–7 with a bowl appearance.
  • ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported Skipper agreed to a five-year deal, while the school’s announcement did not disclose contract terms.
