Caixa Releases New PIS/Pasep Restitution Batch

Overview

• The Caixa payout, which began Thursday, June 25, 2026, covers restitution requests filed through May 31, 2026 and will credit recipients according to the official calendar.
• Claimants can check balances and request payments via the REPIS Cidadão portal or the FGTS app using their PIS/NIS number, and REPIS requires a gov.br account at prata or ouro level.
• The Ministry of Finance says the average corrected balance is about R$2,800 per person and payments are made into Caixa accounts or automatic social savings accounts.
• Beneficiaries who request refunds in person need an official ID while heirs must present documents such as PIS/Pasep/FGTS certificates, dependent declarations or judicial authorizations to prove entitlement.
• Requests made up to June 30 will be paid on July 27, 2026, monthly batches continue through the end of 2026 with some carry into January 2027, and any amounts not claimed by September 2028 will be absorbed into the federal treasury.
