Overview

  • Clark sustained a right groin injury in the final minute of Indiana’s 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15 and will not compete in Friday’s 3-Point Contest or Saturday’s All-Star Game.
  • Washington Mystics guard Brittney Sykes will take Clark’s spot as an All-Star Game starter and Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull will enter the 3-Point Contest.
  • This marks Clark’s third lower-body setback of the season after earlier absences for a left quad strain and left groin injury that cost her ten regular-season games and the Commissioner’s Cup final.
  • Despite sitting out on-court events, Clark will remain at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to support and assist coach Sandy Brondello during Team Clark’s All-Star Game appearance.
  • Clark’s withdrawal highlights concerns over player health and workload under the league’s expanded 44-game schedule as collective bargaining talks continue.
