Overview

  • Egypt hosted the fifth Consultative Mechanism session with the UN, Arab League, African Union, European Union, the Quad and numerous states to coordinate efforts on Sudan.

  • Officials renewed calls for an immediate nationwide humanitarian truce and the opening of safe aid corridors across conflict zones.
  • Violence continues despite mediation, with OCHA citing at least 19 civilians killed in Jarjira and at least 10 killed in a drone strike on Sinja reported by OCHA and the Sudan Doctors Network.
