Overview
- The men in their early 20s began the ascent around 6pm after traveling from Edinburgh.
- They became cragfast in the Goat Track area of Coire an t‑Sneachda and called for help at about 8:45pm.
- Thirteen Cairngorms Mountain Rescue Team members found them roughly 1,050m up and three metres apart, with one showing hypothermia.
- After rewarming, rescuers set a belay and lowered them to the corrie floor, with everyone back at base by around 1am.
- They wore jogging bottoms and trainers without crampons or an ice axe, and they required no further medical treatment.
