CAF Jawan Fires on Colleagues in Chhattisgarh, 2 Dead, 2 Injured

The shooting occurred in a Balrampur camp after a dispute over food, leading to the arrest of the accused jawan.

Constable Ajay Sidar opened fire on his colleagues at the Bhutahi Camp of the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF).
The incident was triggered by a heated argument over the refusal to serve chillies during dinner.
Constable Rupesh Patel was killed instantly, while Constable Sandip Pandey died en route to the hospital.
Two other jawans, Ambuj Shukla and Rahul Baghel, sustained injuries and are receiving medical treatment.
Sidar was quickly overpowered by fellow jawans and taken into custody; an investigation is ongoing.
