Overview

  • Cadillac confirmed multi-year contracts for Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas to spearhead its entry as F1’s 11th team in 2026.
  • The team will run Ferrari power units through 2029 as General Motors works toward introducing its own engine thereafter.
  • CEO Dan Towriss said experience, leadership and technical acumen drove the choice over younger or American prospects, noting superlicence constraints for some candidates.
  • Graeme Lowdon serves as team principal with backing from GM and TWG Motorsports, and operations based in Fishers, Indiana, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Silverstone, UK.
  • The returning duo, both 35, bring 16 wins, 106 podiums and 527 starts, with Perez coming off a Red Bull exit and Bottas spending 2025 as Mercedes’ reserve.
