Cade Cunningham Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week as Pistons Start 8–2

Detroit tops the East with its best 10-game opening since 2005, and Cunningham’s six 20-point double-doubles trail only Nikola Jokic this season.

The NBA honored Cunningham for Week 3 of the 2025–26 season after Detroit went 4–0 from Nov. 3–9.
He averaged 31.0 points on 54.7% shooting with 9.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 37.3 minutes per game during the unbeaten week.
His week featured 31 points and 10 assists in a 125–107 win over the Nets and 26 points with 11 assists in a 111–108 comeback against the 76ers.
It is Cunningham’s second Player of the Week award, following his Dec. 23, 2024 recognition, which was the last by any Piston.
Detroit is 8–2 and first in the Eastern Conference, with a home game against the Wizards scheduled for Monday night.
