Overview

• British Transport Police are investigating reported cable theft near Wigan after signalling cables were cut in several locations, including Bamfurlong.

• All lines between St Helens Central and Blackpool North were blocked for repairs and inspections, with some Liverpool–Blackpool trains starting or terminating at Preston.
