The Government of Rajasthan has transferred 440.06 hectares of land to AAI for the development of a Greenfield Airport, suitable for the operation of A-321 type aircraft.

Overview

  • AAI will develop the ₹1,507 crore greenfield airport at Kota-Bundi on 440.06 hectares transferred by Rajasthan, targeting completion in about 24 months from award.
  • The airport plan includes a 20,000 sq m terminal, a 3,200 m x 45 m runway, seven A321-capable bays, two link taxiways, and capacity for 1,000 peak-hour passengers or 2 million annually.
  • The existing Kota airstrip cannot support commercial operations due to land and urban constraints, prompting a greenfield site to serve the region’s industrial base and student traffic.
  • The ₹8,307.74 crore, 110.875 km Capital Region Ring Road around Bhubaneswar will be six-lane and access-controlled under the Hybrid Annuity Mode with a roughly 2.5-year build period.
  • The ring road is designed to divert heavy vehicles from the Rameshwar–Tangi corridor, integrate with NH-55, NH-57, NH-655 and SH-65, and generate about 1.7 crore person-days of employment.
