• BYD says the Track Edition reached 472.41 km/h on August 8 at ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg with Marc Basseng driving.
• The speed eclipses the Rimac Nevera R’s July mark of 431.45 km/h, resetting the global EV benchmark.
• The test car used a quad-motor setup rated at 744 hp per motor for over 2,960 hp total and about 1,217 hp per tonne.
